Purpose This experiment was designed to keep a raw egg from breaking when dropped from a height of two meters. The structure that provides the longest duration of impact between the free falling egg and the ground will provide the wanted results of an uncracked egg.
Background
Previous knowledge acquired from Physics class about motion was applied to this project. Motion is the action of changing location or position. Impulse is the factor that will keep the egg from remaining undamaged. If bubble wrap and napkins are placed inside a container, then the egg will not crack when dropped from a height of two meters.

It weighed 146.6 grams with the eggs. The egg ended up cracking slightly.
Calculations
Gravity equals 9.81 meters per second squared. The speed of the egg upon impact with the ground can be determined for the height of two meters. The egg was dropped from rest, so the initial velocity is zero. Final velocity squared equals initial velocity squared plus two times acceleration times delta distance, the final speed can be determined for the height of two meters.

This was the most limiting because if the container was bigger, the egg would have a lesser chance of breaking or cracking. The most effective part of my design was the bubble wrap. It protected the egg as best as it could. I chose this part because bubble wrap is numerous small air cushions designed to protect fragile goods. If I were to take this challenge again, I would add more bubble wrap. Not having enough bubble wrap is what I believe caused it to crack. The napkins and tissues were not enough to cushion the bubble wrap and egg. In order to safely carry two raw eggs, I would need a slightly bigger container. The bigger container would have more bubble wrap to protect and support the two raw eggs. The wrap will cushion the eggs from the two meter fall.
Error Analysis The obvious error in this experiment is that my egg cracked enough that the yolk leaked out of it. There was not enough bubble wrap to protect the egg from breaking. There should have been more of the wrap on top of the egg. This would have prevented it from breaking.
