My favorite constellation is Orion. I feel that way, because, I find it one of the most interesting stories in Greek Mythology. He was the son of Posioden and could walk on water, because of that.…

I have chosen Cancer as my favorite constellation because it is the sign I was born under. Latin for "crab", it is the dimmest of all the zodiac constellations and used to be the Sun's most northerly position in the sky. It is located in between Gemini (to its west) and Leo(to its east). It is best known among stargazers as home of Praesepe, an open cluster. Cancer is most well known in Greek mythology as the crab sent by the goddess Hera to help the hydra kill Heracles.…

The constellation I have chosen as my favorite is Virgo (The Virgin), for the simple fact that it is my zodiac sign. I do not know much about the constellation except for a few bits of information, like the fact that it is the second largest constellation that can be seen in the sky. The creation myths of virgo is another piece of information I know from previous research. Virgo is associated with a few different Greek and Roman myths of different goddesses. She is sometimes considered to be the goddess of wheat and agriculture (Demeter-Ceres).…

My favorite constellation is the Cetus or 'whale' because I think it looks more like a frying pan than a whale. The Cetus is a constellation made up of 88 stars and the brightest star is called Deneb Kaitos. The Cetus is very close to the other zodiac constellations such as Aries, Pisces and Aquarius. The creation story of the Cetus constellation stems from Greek mythology. In this story the Cetus is called a Sea Monster and not a whale.…

Gemini is one of the larger constellations in our sky. Although the Gemini is called "The Twins" and actually resembles a set of twins in the sky. The twins' mother was Leda, Castor's father was Tyndareus, who was the mortal king of the ancient Greek city of Sparta. Pollux's father, on the other hand, was the Greek god Zeus. Pollux, as the son of a god, was immortal and was well known for his strength, while his mortal brother, Castor was famous for his skill with horses.…
