Unconditional Response To Gizmo Sample

Decent Essays
I use to own a Chihuahua Tea-Cup named Gizmo cute little black and white. We lived out in the country in Kerman so when we would pull up it would run towards us unconditional stimulus before condition. By seeing us pull to drive way it was unconditional response. By Gizmo just hearing the car engine it was a Neutral Stimulus and not seeing us it wouldn’t run to car unconditioned response. When it saw us and heard the engine it would run and wag its tail during conditioning unconditioned response. Then later on when it heard any of our cars or any car engines it just new to run and bark and wag its tail to greet us Condition

Two people watched the videotaped scenarios and looked for the seven different behaviors that were being tested for in the experiment. The tail up behavior was excluded because it was too hard to separate the positive behavior from the negative behavior. The researchers assumed someone could tell the difference between positive behavior and negative behavior but unfortunately dogs don’t wag their tails in only in the vertical or horizontal direction. Another limitation is dogs may be like people where everyone has distinct ranges of emotions, and not everyone reacts the same to different…

In the video clip for The Office, the neutral stimulus that became the conditioned stimulus was the bell/alarm on the computer. An example of classical conditioning that I had experienced would be with my horses. When I first got my horses, I would whistle to them when I was bringing feed. At first they did not notice my whistle until they saw the bucket of feed, now though, every time I whistle their heads pop up. Now every time I whistle, my horses come looking for my bucket of feed, even when I do not have food, like when I go on a run down…

After this incident took place every time I hear, think, or smell tequila I kid you not I gag and cring, so that was the unconditioned response (UCR). My pink Yeti cup is the neutral stimulus (NS). When I see any form of pink cups or yeti cups I think of this occurrence. Now that pink cups remind me of tequila it's now a conditioned stimulus (CS).…

One has two methods of reaction, unconditioned and conditioned reflexes. Unconditioned reflexes appear when one is born, there is no teaching required. Some examples include jumping at a loud noise, sweating when it’s hot outside, things that are automatic to humans. The unconditioned stimulus is the thing causing these reactions. In these situations, the unconditioned stimulus would be the loud noise and the heat.…

Doritos “When Pigs Fly” commercial features a man telling a boy that he will only share his Doritos when pigs fly, so the boy builds a contraption to make the pig fly. After the man sees the pig flying, he shares his bag of Doritos with the boy. Doritos is the neutral stimulus because it becomes associated with a meaningful stimulus and has the ability to elicit a similar response. Food is the unconditioned stimulus because it produces a response without prior learning. The production of a pleasant feeling with Doritos is the unconditioned response because it is an unlearned reaction that is automatically elicited by the unconditioned stimulus.…

Study #1 Article Title: It’s Not Just About Salivating Dogs! Author: Ivan Pavlov Date of Study: 1927 Hypothesis: Ivan Pavlov believed that if a dog was exposed to a specific stimulus while being fed, the dog’s brain would associate the stimulus with the food; due to this association, the stimulus alone would prompt the dogs to salivate. Variables: The independent variables, or the variables being manipulated and tested, are the various stimuli that Pavlov used to ingrain a response in the dogs: the ticking of metronome, footsteps, the scent of vanilla, a rotating object. The dependent variable, or the variable measured and tested, is the presence of salivation in response to a neutral stimulus after the dogs have been conditioned to associate the stimulus with food.…

Behaviors and responses vary from person to person. Only one study has been conducted by John B. Watson and Rosalie Rayner to observe how an unconditioned stimulus causes a conditioned response. In this experiment, we analyzed how Little Albert paired two unlike things; a loud noise and developing a fear of fur. This experiment will have a long-lasting effect of fear on the candidate because of conditioned emotional responses.…

A condition stimulus is a stimulus which someone or something has learned to make a response (Dictionary.com,2016). The food (meat powder) was a unconditioned stimulus. An unconditioned stimulus is a stimulus that evokes a response that was not learned (Dictionary.com,2016). When the dogs salivated it was an unconditioned response . A unconditioned response is a reflexive action that was not learned (Dictionary.com,2016).…

According to this theory, there exists a neutral stimulus, which by itself will not produce a response on the subject under consideration. There also exists a non-neutral or unconditioned stimulus that produces an unconditioned response. However, Pavlov, the author of the theory, noted that the presentation of both the neutral as well as the non-neutral stimulus led to learning by the subject under consideration. In this case, the neutral stimulus is the conditional stimuli (CS) that results to conditional response while the non-neutral stimuli are the unconditional stimuli (US) that produce unconditional response. Cherry (2014) explains this by arguing that conditioned stimulus is learned through association such that when conditioned stimulus is paired by unconditional stimuli, it evokes a conditions stimulus.…

The first exercise is Acquisition; the second exercise is Extinction; the third exercise is Spontaneous Recovery; and the fourth exercise is Varying Strength of the Conditioned Stimulus. In the first exercise we analyzed Acquisition. Sniffy is exposed to the CS, which is the medium tone. Being that he shows no reaction to this tone, we can conclude that it is a neutral stimulus. Also, we can note that when the CS is weak, the conditioning occurs slower, so the fear response will happen slower.…

If I were to set up a learning experiment, I would train my dog to associate a whistle sound with a treat. This would hopefully teach her to react to a whistling sound and can them be used to get her attention. To accomplish this, I’d reward her with a treat and praise after I whistle. I would use her natural response of salivation to food and combine it with a stimulus, a whistle sound, in order to achieve my goal. I would do this daily in the morning and use positive reinforcement such as food or positive touches such as petting to encourage this behavior to repeat.…

Introduction Behavior is generally both physical and psychological response towards stimuli. It encompasses organism’s observable physical movements and internal psychological process, summing up to how an organism responds with the environment. Sniffy experiment seeks to demonstrate how the virtual rat responds to tone and shock variation. It is possible to measure organism behavior using one or more parameters, including duration, intensity, and frequency.…

The neutral stimulus would be my father’s belt, the unconditioned stimulus would be his spanking he would give me and the unconditioned response would be the fear of my dad when he get angry. The belt would then become the conditioned stimulus causing the conditioned fear to take place. Fear is also an indicator of classical conditioning because it is an involuntary response to something scary. Observational learning to me is pretty clear and could even be applied to a similar setting. If I were to see my dad abuse my brother, I would not only shelter the consequence he is going through as my own lesson, but I could also establish a vicarious emotional response similar to the previous example.…

The neutral stimulus (NS) would be the collar they had to wear. The children were able to associate the two having brown eyes and having to wear the collar led them to not have any privileges. The conditioning would be Brown-eyed, Collar wearing, no privileges.…
