Uncle James: Children ya’ll are doing it all wrong, wait, and let me show ya’ll how to work together.

Joshua: First, Uncle James took the sack from us tossing it to the side. Then he got three pieces of cord out of his pocket, with one he tied it just above out ankles, then he tied the second cord just above our knees, with the last cord he tied midways our thighs, we was joined together from ankle to hip. I could not look at Sarah, she was too close. Uncle James noticed both of us trying to avoid eye contact with one another.

Uncle James: Face one another and put your arms around the waist of each other… like this.

Joshua: Being lost in the forest felt better, we both froze full of embarrassment and shame. Neither one of us could make the first move.

Uncle James: Listen to me children. You can’t win this race unless you work together and you can’t work together, unless you’ll are not afraid of

Ponyboy was really the first person I could express my opinions to and the first person I could really talk to about how I feel about this stupid social division we have to go by. Even though he doesn’t really understand how we Socs have problems too, I can see that he at least sort of understands- not completely, but just a little… Knowing that he sort of understands is a mixed feeling of relief and just a bit of an absurd feeling as well, I mean, a Soc and a greaser actually having a nice conversation.. I didn’t expect him to actually understand at all, but I also didn’t expect him to be completely ignorant about it either. “Cherry, look what’s coming,” Marcia quickly addressed. I watched the blue Mustang as it was coming down the street.…

Johnson, the thirty-sixth president of The United States, African American citizens never had the unopposed right to vote. In the Book of Mormon we read about 2,000 exemplary young men who were exceedingly valiant, courageous, and strong. They were men of truth and soberness, for they had been taught to keep the commandments of God and to walk uprightly before him. These faithful young men had been taught by their mothers that if they would not doubt, God would deliver them. I would suspect that the mothers of Captain Moroni, Mosiah, Mormon, and other great leaders also had mothers who taught them that if they exercise faith, they would be blessed by God.…

Many individuals would disagree or agree that children should not have to do chores. Jane Smiley wrote in her article, “The Case Against Chores,” that the pressure to put your children to work is unrelenting (Smiley 274). If children do not do anything for themselves or others, children are not going to know how to be self-sufficient in the future. A child who does not do any chores are going to grow up to become spoiled individuals. There are many quotes from Smiley throughout “The Case Against Chores” that would make people think about the kind of children Smiley wants to raise or perhaps even the children an individual reading “The Case Against Chores” wants to raise.…

Essay “If you want your children to keep their feet on the ground, put some responsibility on their shoulders,” - Abigail Van Buren Parents are the reason for the illegal actions of their child. This is because some parents do not take the time to talk to their child, letting them know what is right and what is wrong, these children will later grow up into dangerous and immoral criminals. There are people who neglect their children and do not pay attention to them, and so the child will not know or learn what is right and wrong. This is why parents should be legally responsible for their children's actions because they are their child’s biggest influence, they should teach them, and penalizing will make both parents and children more responsible. When children are growing up they imitate or act like their parents, so when that parent is irresponsible, reckless, and cruel the child will most likely become that.…
