The most recent act of civil discourse that I have observed has been on social media. Recently Ayesha Curry (Stephen Curry’s Wife) voiced her option regarding women’s body image on twitter. Though her option was not stated in a mean or malicious way, many of those who disagreed with her statement, voiced their options in way lacking in civil discourse. The uncivil responders went from bashing her statement, to taking jabs at her appearance, character and family. What made the discourse uncivil was the amount of disrespectful responses that not only mocked her but anyone who agreed to her
