The group project felt important to me, because it gave me a chance to present a topic that was meaningful to me. The topic of my group’s project was anti-racism in protest songs, and showing how many artists took to the stage with their thoughts of equality, attempting to change the way that some people are perceived in this nation. Preparing this project didn’t go without stress or challenges though. My group partners, despite my persistent nagging, procrastinated until the last minute to get any work done, and even though there were five of us in my group, only two people did any significant work on the presentation. As the deadline for the presentation was growing closer, I knew that it was time to act.…

An Immigration Story For my creative writing piece I decided to focus on the genre of podcasts. Podcasts are a common medium used to inform and interact with an audience. I choose to do a podcast because my topic at hand, immigration, can be very broad and contains a lot of information. The video format allowed for a more direct connection to the audience. Though the general public could be considered the audience for this piece, I found it more important to target an audience less informed with immigration.…

For the past month, the wise students of Wesleyan College have been reading and watching Ted Talk videos that all somehow relate to education. Primarily focusing on Sir Kenneth Robinson, Daniel Pink, and Fareed Zakaria, each text has a unique meaning and different point of view. They also all have a piece in their text which is influenced by education. Before one can proceed further into the re-imagining process, it is of value to uncover the true meaning of education. By comparing and contrasting the previous texts, it would be beneficial when it comes to critically analyzing and thinking about the similarities and differences between education.…
