The part in this story makes me so sad because although it is a happy scene, it is disappointing. For Amir's whole life so far all he wants is to have a relationship with his father but the way that he gets it is not really right. Baba should love him for him and not because he won something. I think that in the beginning Baba just loves Amir as a son, just not more than that because they never really bond or do anything together.
