Una Like Allies: A Short Story

Unalike Allies
Growing up with my two cousins, BreAnne and Bailey, was like growing up with two sisters. From the time they were waddling around in diapers to the time the youngest one walked across the stage at graduation, I have watched them both grow up and evolve into two very different people. Therefore, it confused me whenever people would tell them “You two could be twins!” As we all grew older, however, I began to understand. From the outside looking in, these girls could very well be identical twins; in reality, they couldn’t be more different if they tried.
The outward similarities are shocking. Both have lightly tanned skin and big brown eyes. Their noses are sprinkled in freckles and their cheeks flush easily. High cheekbones run in the family, along with long dark eyelashes and big round eyes. Both of the girl’s eyebrows pull down into a deep furrow when they are upset; when they are suspicious, they raise their right one high and purse their lips. BreAnne, the older sister, has light brown hair that falls just above the middle of her back in loose waves. Bailey’s dark blonde hair reaches slightly lower than the middle of her back and is straight as a pin. Identical bone structure, stature, and eyes make it difficult for people to tell them apart, and if it weren’t for the difference in hair color they could pass as identical

Subsequently after reading Divided Minds, one can be positively sure that schizophrenia is not only a day-to-day battle for its vulnerable victims, but also for the loved ones and their families. This memoir is written by a pair of identical twins, one with an incorrigible mental illness who is also an award-winning poet and the other a doctor of psychiatry. Although the sisters alternate in the telling, it is clearly Pamela's story that captivates you. As identical twins, Carolyn and Pamela were raised in a nearly identical environment.…

This was shown when Ethan had returned home and Blake was trying to cause destruction to the reestablishment of Ethan back to normality. I judged this that it was just a typical family, where families always argue. Another incident I judged was when Blake was doing a science investigation about genetics, he did research about the shapes of the earlobes in his family. From the investigation, Blake discovered that Ethan’s earlobe is different to those in the photos of him before he was kidnapped. A quote to show this is “He’s fake.”…

People often remark that my sisters, Olive and Ivy, seem very similar, but if one looks a little beneath the surface, the differences in personality between them become apparent. To start with, Olive is ten years old whereas Ivy is only three, so Olive is more mature, larger, and is more educated than Ivy. Olive is more stubborn and sassy, while Ivy is more cooperative and demure. For example, when it comes to bedtime, Olive will stay on her computer and complain when told to go to bed, but Ivy will listen the first time without talking back. Finally, Olive is short-tempered, while Ivy is more easy-going.…

I think the “Andy Griffin Show” was more entertaining than “The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street”. The reason I think this is because”The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street” took place in the dark and I do not like the dark. I like the “Andy Griffin Show” better is because it took place in the daylight hours and I like day. I also like the “Andy Griffin Show” because all you see is a stranger and in”The Monsters Are Due on maple Street” you see Aliens.…
