The Odyssey Vs. Ulysses “The Odyssey” and “Ulysses” are both movies based upon the epic poem, The Odyssey. This poem was written by Homer, who was a blind poet. The Odyssey was considered to be a comedy. It was not what we would consider a comedy today, back then, most things were tragedies, so when something had a happy ending, they called it a comedy. “Ulysses” was made before “The Odyssey” movie. When comparing the two movies to each other, they have similarities such as the way Odysseus/Ulysses proved their selves and the characters, and they have differences such as the qualities of the movies, the way the ships were taken, and the love stories.
