Ulysses S. Grant: The Military Figure

Improved Essays
The military figure I chose to do my project on it is Gen. Ulysses S Grant. I chose him because of how multi-dimensional his life was. The story of his life was almost like a movie. The main reasoning behind my choice was because I wanted to learn as much as I possibly could from him. He was an honest man that took leadership in a time of need for his country.
Hiram Ulysses Grant was born on April 27, 1822, in Point Pleasant, Ohio. When Grant was 17, Congressman Thomas L. Hamer nominated him to the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.
