Ultrasound Technician Research Paper

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be in the medical field. To be able to help people for whatever they need. That’s how I knew I wanted to be an ultrasound technician and/or specialist. Wouldn’t it be neat and exciting to be able to look into the faces of families and tell them their child is perfectly healthy? Families have tried to have a child so desperately and telling them their baby boy or girl, or more, is great. This field of work intrigues me because opportunities exist to help people who are not pregnant too. Ultrasound specialties would allow me to enjoy spending the rest of my life putting smiles on people’s faces knowing their body and/or child is healthy. To be helpful is constantly being there for someone when they need it or doing something for them. Being an extra set of hands for someone; giving help or being prepared to do so at any given time. For example, when summer, begins to turn to winter, I help my grandmother switch all of her clothes from summer clothing to winter clothing. Having to carry big buckets filled with clothes up and down stairs from the attic to her room. It’s continuously a fulfilling, bittersweet feeling knowing I could help her because she can’t do it on her own. Patients are constantly looking for answers for what is going on or why they are there and I would be able to lead them to the answers. Being able to guide a person means they serve as a model for others, show them what’s positive and negative, and helps them to makes decisions that’ll impact their life. To be a person who advises or shows the way to do things, leading them onto the right path. An example of me being a guider or guiding someone was when my cousin and I were younger; he would get into so much trouble. There would constantly be issues with him, in and out of schools, causing unnecessary problems for him and the people around him. At that point I couldn’t deal with him getting into so much trouble and going down the wrong road, I decided to talk to him and figure out why these things were happening. Turns out me talking to him and showing him what he should and shouldn’t be doing actually helped. Nowadays, he’s smart and stays focused and even plays football for his schools. If I or no one else talked to him, he could still be getting into trouble and not be where he is today. I guided my cousin to make the right decisions so he could be where he is today.
