The Ultimate Goal Life is truly a wonderful gift because as humans, we all have the opportunity to decide how we would like to live our lives and what we want to do with our time. Through my experiences in life, my values, and my idea of what happiness is, I have developed the principles that I would like to live by. Fully adopting these ideas and allowing them to partake in the way I live my life will not be automatic, but something I must work at. I believe that establishing these principles into my life will help me reach a feeling of genuine happiness. Life is too short to waste time. Time is like an hourglass. Eventually, our time that we have on this planet will come to an end. Therefore, time should not be wasted. Also, we do not know when the sand in the hourglass will run out. More often than not, people think that in order to make a difference in the world or a difference in another person’s life, they have to be extraordinary. This is false. That being said, each and every person is capable of making a difference in this world. Therefore, each and every person has a purpose in

I’ve noticed something about most of the people who make a difference in this world. They hold the unshakable conviction that individuals are extremely important, that every single life matters. They get excited over one smile; they are willing to feed one stomach, to educate one mind. They are satisfied with small changes; I want to be part of those unselfish, generous people, I want to live my footprint on the sand of time, to leave this world a little better. You should do your best to help a person in need to be a person’s smile, to be the reason why someone out there didn’t give…

INTRODUCTION A. Attention Getter: When you consider someone who has made a difference, you may think of Martin Luther King Jr. or Anne Frank, but it is likely that you have made a difference. The following quote, published in Change Your Heart, Change Your Life (2007, p. 33), was originally given by an original author: “When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world. I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my nation. When I found I couldn't change the nation, I began to focus on my town. I couldn't change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my family.…

In the Declaration of Independence Thomas Jefferson wrote that every single person has the right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”. Well it’s interesting that he put “the pursuit” of happiness because happiness isn’t something that is guaranteed or something that can be bought. Life is a very broad, difficult topic to speak about. Often times, people have conflicting thoughts on what they think the value of life is, what the point of life is, or what life is really supposed to mean. Should it be based off of materialistic possessions? Should who a person is or what they do with their life define them? Or should humans simply live as they desire and not put a price tag on another person until after they are dead?…
