However, due to the fact that Loyola University Chicago was offering me a great deal of financial assistance I attended there. Unfortunately, due to severe financial hardship it became necessary for me to leave after a year. Because I refused to fall behind, I continued with my education at Joliet Junior College where I persistently moved forward taking classes toward my biology degree. While attending, I was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. I also gained skills by working as a certified nursing assistant at an assisted living center to acquire additional experience.
Because I will have already taken the maximum amount of classes offered for a biology pre-med major by the fall of 2017, I wish to continue my studies elsewhere. UIC would best suit me in the path to success because of its strong pre-medical program. I strongly believe UIC will provide opportunities for a great undergraduate experience while academically preparing me for its graduate school.
