Now that Tally is a pretty she really does not have any rules. There allowed to party all day long, and do almost anything they want. The only problem is that during the operation they give you brain lesions. These brain lesions make you forget why you were a troublemaker, it's a way the society can keep people in line without them knowing. Tally finds this out by David, who is the founder of The Smoke. David finds a cure that is suppose get rid of the lesions but when Tally takes it “workes”, only later to find out that she took the wrong one and the pill did nothing and that she fought the lesions off by herself. From Uglies, Pretties did not like her because she was an ugly. She then turns 17 and able to turn and she does. From Pretties, she now belongs but heard the terrible secret the operation brings and tries to take a pill to get rid of it. She would figure how to it but no use because Dr.Cable changes her into a specials. From Specials, she then has to take orders like a soldier. She then rebels against Dr.Cable and becomes more independent. Tally is able to change in each book with a new personality always pushed and pressured, but yet became able to make her own choices. In conclusion, The Uglies Series has impacted my point of view as it has made me see that we all have different personality and that no one should be able to change that because we are one of a kind. Tally was pressure by many people into change from ugly to pretty to special. She was pressure by the society,friends,and Dr.Cable. The society forced her to change into a pretty by saying she was an ugly and that she was nothing until she is a pretty. Also when her “friends” who humiliated her for being an ugly. The operation made Tally change her personality and her friends finally accepted her. In Specials, Dr. Cable turned her into a special and yet again her personality changed but this time she had enough and wanted to make her own decisions. In the end, Tally was pressured but overcame it and made her own decisions and you can do the same thing so be yourself
