Ufo Sighting: A Very Brief History

1) It was the morning of Wednesday, November 5, 1975. To us, the seven men working in Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, it was an ordinary workday. The group saw a strange light off in the distance thinking it was a forest fire. Travis got out of Mike’s Truck and basically got abducted by aliens. Mike and the rest of the crew drove off. Travis had been missing for about eight days before they found him at a nearby gas station with a payphone. He didn’t like to be touched nor did he really recognize anybody around him. He was freaking out whatever he encountered did something devastating to him. Travis Walton was abducted by aliens, operated on, and they must not of had any use for him because he managed to get free or escape. http://www.travis-walton.com/ordinary.html

The Betty and Barney Hill Abduction case is more famous compared to other alien encounters because the other cases were mere followers. Because it is the first public account of alien abduction, there was controversy; the questionable evidence of when, where, and why it happened still intrigues today. First set evidence is looking at when it happened, we can tell it happened in the early 1960’s. It was September 19, 1961, night the Hills were on their way home to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, after a holiday in Montreal. “The story of the alleged UFO abduction of Betty and Barney Hill in New Hampshire in 1961 is well known to the public.”…

Even though Travis had been living with Herold since he was only three days old and was known to be friendly with people—and even waved at police officers when he came across them—he was still a wild animal whose behavior is unable to be predicted or controlled. In 2011, Terry Thompson released over 50 of the wild animals he had amassed from their cages into the surrounding residential area of Zanesville, Ohio.…

Something had fallen out of the sky and crashed on a ranch near Roswell (Spiegel), and the Roswell Army Air Field was alerted of the crash. A few members of the army were sent to retrieve the debris and wreckage. What was discovered was not exactly that of a UFO, such as the wooden sticks, pieces of rubber, and I-beams found, or perhaps that is just what the government wants people to think? Bodies were also discovered, though these bodies weren’t exactly human. The bodies were described with having “oversized heads and eyes”, and the bodies were also no taller than 5 feet, so they were also described as “children”.…

Texas is no land for soft men, but it is apparently the land for missing men. On August 8th, 2013, a twenty-six year old man named Brandon Mason Lawson disappeared in the city of Abilene, Texas. This missing person case is filled only with a inaudible 911 call, an undamaged truck, a call from Brandon to his brother’s girlfriend, and a warrant out for his arrest. Neither the family nor the police department know exactly what happened to Brandon, but it seems as if he came upon an aggressive crime on his way to Fort Worth and was murdered himself. After getting into an argument with his girlfriend in their home, Brandon Lawson leaves to Fort Worth, Texas to see his father.…

The belief that the Roswell Incident was a UFO is an interesting topic that can be supported by witness accounts, the government’s secrecy, and the debris; even the counter argument can be challenged. One reason why Roswell has a connection to a UFO is due to the detailed witness accounts. At the time, Glenn Dennis was a local mortician. He had received a call for any child-sized coffins from the Roswell Army Airfield.…

For those who truly believe in the conspiracy theories and other ideas of what the base is being used for, the ideas are dismissed by the majority of our population. The people are so intrigued by Area 51 because of the lack of evidence, and the fact that it is an area we are prohibited to enter or even approach. The area is restricted in fear that the weapon information get into the wrong hands. During November of 2011 the White House released their official position on aliens. Their official statement quotes: “The U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race.…

On November 12, 1966, five men who were digging a grave at a cemetery near Clendenin, West Virginia, claimed to see a man-like figure fly low from the trees over their heads.[5] This is often identified as the first known sighting of what became known as the Mothman. Shortly thereafter, on November 15, 1966, two young couples from Point Pleasant, Roger and Linda Scarberry and Steve and Mary Mallette, told police they saw a large grey creature whose eyes "glowed red" when the car headlights picked it up. They described it as a "large flying man with ten-foot wings", following their car while they were driving in an area outside of town known as "the TNT area", the site of a former World War II munitions plant.[6][7] During the next few days,…

I had always been fascinated by modern mysteries and conspiracy theories, but before this class, I had no clue what to accept and how to analyze the information that I was presented to me. I chose the topic of the Moon Landing, because it enabled me to take a second look at the conspiracy theory through a new lens of experience. To understand where this idea of a hoax originates, we need to understand what was going on before the Apollo 11 moon landing. Starting in the 1950s, America was in a cold war with Soviet Russia, which was less of a physical battle and more of a challenge of who had a better structured government. It was a challenge of superiority that eventually led to the space race in 1955.…

    Theories Of Ancient Aliens

Some theories were a bit far fetched but some theories seemed very plausible. The most far fetched theory I read about consisted of a story, that aliens had created the earth as a place to experiment intelligence levels on, and some aliens were left in close planets to monitor and study the life that was created. This theory seems a bit far fetched, but still can not be ruled out of the mind completely. However there were two more theories that I believed to be more realistic. The first being that aliens are what jump started highly intelligent life on earth.…
