Uber will issue promotion code during weekends and festivals, in order to engage more consumers, and prepare loyal consumers for other for-profit products. In addition, Uber was founded much earlier than Didi Kuaidi in 2005, and has various types of cars available. Uber also concerns much on passengers’ safety, since drivers do not need to take orders by themselves while driving. And using a surge-pricing pattern makes consumers feel fair.
However, Uber’s promotions do not have a good feedback yet. Uber did not make any profit, although it raised $2.4 billion to support this project. Using non- experienced and non-licensed drivers is an important problem to Uber, because it related to consumers’ safety and satisfaction. There are also some moral issues, due to surge pricing.
It goes without saying that with the fast improvement of people’s living standard, the taxi market began to get its golden development in recent years. The mode of O2O, has advanced the advent of the taxi applications through providing the technological support and the popularity of the online services. Especially with the rapid enlargement of online service, the consumers are willing to choose the online applications.
