SAN FRANSICO, CA- 27thApril, 2015 during a drive home in San Francisco, a 30-year old man accused his Uber driver of robbing him. The police investigated the scene to find that a driver had chased after a 30-year-old victim and kicked him to the ground. He then took the victims credit card and cellphone. Police could not confirm if the driver in this incident was actually an Uber driver.
Uber is aware of the situation that occurred in San Francisco, and is working on investigating further to prevent crises happening in the future. Since the police could not confirm if the driver in this incident was actually an Uber driver, Uber is reaching out to San Francisco police department assistance in investigating this specific scene. Uber is known for their safe travels and does not want horrific incidents to effect their reputation. They are taking this case very seriously and are not demeaning the incident in San Francisco. In order to assemble an efficient driving staff Uber is working on their hiring system.
