UW-Madison has been a big part of my life ever since I can remember. I’ve been to countless sporting events from basketball, soccer, softball and football. I can’t remember ever not wanting to attend UW-Madison and be apart of the community that i’ve witnessed throughout my time attending madison for countless academic events. The summer of my sophomore to junior year I attended the UW-Madison Pharmacy Summer Camp. Ever since my freshman year when I applied to be in the healthcare academy at my school I knew I wanted to help improve other people's lives through medicine. Throughout my sophomore year I found that medications and treatments interested me extremely. This is what brought me to attend the pharmacy camp in the first place. The pharmacy camp was amazing. It made me just fall in love with the staff, campus and pharmacy as a major even more. This is where it also hit me that I wanted to be apart of research in medicine. I know that once I am at Madison I will do all that I can to be apart of research of medicine and its reactions in some way. Through attending Madison I want to make a positive impact on the medical field in helping find cures, treatments and medicines to help promote the prosperity of our world. …show more content…

Once I’m at Madison I would love to pursue German in every way I

True and significant life is found in Jesus Christ and because of my firm conviction of this it has been my primary objective to point people to Jesus. Being persuaded that Christ wants Christians and especially those who take leadership roles to minister to the needs of others, I have ordered my life to conform to that conviction. Ultimately, Jesus desires that each Christian serves him by serving others; this is accomplished in a variety of ways – feeding those who are hungry, teaching everyone the life saving Gospel, and by leading in a way that reflects the glory of Christ. It has been my immense pleasure to have had the opportunity to preach God’s Word to thousands of people over the past fifteen years. It is my sincere passion to see people embrace Christ Jesus as their Lord and savior and to be transformed by the renewing of their minds through the Word of God.…

I chose the Pre-Pharmacy major mainly because I enjoy learning about how medications work and seeing how pharmaceutical technology is advancing throughout the years. I was born with a congenital condition that caused me to be born without my outer left ear. I had three reconstruction surgeries at UNC Chapel Hill and was amazed by the hospital setting, especially the medications that were used to help me recover from my surgeries. After my surgeries, I often wondered how drugs worked in a human body system. Despite missing out on school and various extracurricular activities to focus on my recovery, I continued to work hard on my schoolwork to keep my grades up.…

Still firm on my decision to study medicine, for the first time I considered doing research and decided to broaden my horizon. Consequently, my first research experience was working with the Psychology Department in a community service work study, where I conducted educational research.…

The past year has been quite the journey. I am always explaining to my students that learning never ends- That it is our individual responsibility to embrace the future and to prepare ourselves to conquer it in the best possible way. In my classroom, we focus on positive mindsets and our mantra is, “A negative thinker sees a difficulty in every opportunity, and a positive thinker sees an opportunity in every difficulty” (Zig Zigler). With this in mind, I have taken this opportunity to show my students and my own children the power of continuing education and hard work. The programming at CSU-Global has provided me with an excellent platform for future leadership.…
