These children were treated like animals by eating up to a few times a day, being forced to fight for ideas they might not even agree with, forced to take drugs, and then possibly be beaten up later. When the children have done an action that their leaders do not like, or if their commanders feel like it, most will experience awful physical abuse. Most child soldiers have reported of being punched, kicked, stabbed, shot, and maimed by the people they are supposed to be fighting for. These kids have no idea what they are doing wrong most of the time. A majority of child soldiers have faced sexual abuse, most of which are girls. The most often case is when these kids are kidnapped, raped, and then forced to be forced to be “wives” to older soldiers. According to Daily Beast, little boys who are fighting are taught how to rape women and young girls. The mentioned that “the young boys watched as their commanders raped women and young girls abducted in earlier raids. The lesson for the boys was clear: They were learning to subdue a struggling victim during sexual assault.” One victim said that she was raped by a boy who appeared to be thirteen but succeeded because he had a gun.
