I plan to join Black Student Movement and Carolina Recovery Group. I find these groups interesting because the Black Student Movement embraces a culture distinct from the dominant culture found at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mainly because it is meant to provide a group where students in recovery from alcohol, drug, and other addictions can meet in order to provide support to one another, and to help one another stay sober in a collegiate environment. I like helping people and these groups could probably help me in my future career choices, if I don’t want to be a writer.
