UHD Honesty Policy Case Study

I do think Lucy violated the UHD Honesty Policy because even though she did not directly want to see the exam. In my opinion, in the moment she realized the paper was the exam she should have put it in the professor’s mailbox instead of reading part of it. The UHD Academic Honesty Policy states in page 45 “cheating includes but is not limited to: obtaining and/or using unauthorized material.” She is not responsible that the professor forgot the exam in the printer. The part “obtaining” unauthorized material does not fit her situation because she didn’t steal it, it just happened to be in her work area. However, it was not necessary for her to read more than the top of the paper to realize that that was an exam. She is using an unauthorized
