UFO Sighting In Phoenix, Arizona

On the night of March 13, 1997 in Phoenix, Arizona thousands of people reported seeing a large UFO slowly float over their city. Sightings also came in from Mesa, Sky Harbor, Rainbow Valley, and Tucson, Arizona with reports coming in till the next day till 2:00 am. What happened on this night is still debated to this day and is considered the most important UFO sighting in history according alien enthusiasts.
Due to the commotion the government immediately denied the UFO sighting saying the amber lights that citizens saw were only flares they shot into the sky. Fife Symington previous governor of Phoenix and past air force captain said otherwise, “I’m a pilot and I know just about every machine that flies. It was bigger than anything that I’ve ever seen. It remains a great mystery. Other people saw it, responsible people. I don’t know why anyone would ridicule it.”

For people in phoenix alive to witness it, they will remember that exact moment until they die because of the size and appearance of the UFO.
The 1997 wasn’t the first sighting though. There had been sightings two weeks earlier of three large amber orbs in front of the Estrella mountains in Phoenix. There are pictures of these lights but the lights would fade then come back one by one they finally disappear for good. These lights are still considered the Phoenix lights but they were different because they were in a perfect triangle shape and stayed in the same place.
The Phoenix city council looked into what happened do to the excitement of the people. Director Peter Davenport commented, “As far as I know, this is the first time I’ve ever heard of a local or state body taking an official stand. I’m encouraged. I’m heartened by that.” They received hundreds of calls in the following weeks of the
