UCF Days: A Personal Analysis

Decent Essays
I know you are probably tired of the redundancies of these communications, but I feel like this is the only clear and effective way to get my feelings across to you these days. We both know these past few months have been tumultuous. If someone would have told me back in our UCF days that our friendship would be how it is now, I would’ve honestly laughed in their face and called them crazy. Out of all my friendships that I made in college, there were three that I would’ve bet my life on because I knew that they would be a lifelong friendship.

    1) One thing that surprised me the most in CSUN History and Traditions was about The Legacy of Dorothea ‘’Granny Heitz.” A woman over fifty years old who decided to pursue her college education, to later on become one of the great leaders in CSUN. When I begin to ponder on all of my qualities or unique characteristics I begin to evaluate myself. What kind of student I am? My ability to comprehend complex ideas? What are my weaknesses and how can I improve on them. When I think about Florida A&M University and how it has been recognized among the “Best National Universities” and how it has also been listed among The Princeton Review’s “Best in the Southeast” colleges.…

There are many similarities and differences found when comparing Florida State University and University of Central Florida. Despite having these differences, FSU is an overall better college. There are countless subjects to choose when comparing these schools, but the main topics I chose to focus on were the schooling overall, the people, activities, and my career. Indifference, FSU overall is statistically better. FSU is a slightly larger school with 60,767 students vs 41,226 students, given it's a larger school it's acceptance rate is much higher than UCF with a 55.4% versus 49.6%.…

So now, Thomas, I am writing back to your letter I received on the day I graduated High School. Unfortunately, the letter was a year too late. In the following six months after I told you goodbye in January, I found happiness in myself and met someone new. I appreciate your letter explaining your actions over the past year and how sorry you are, and I accept your apology. I appreciate you telling me now that you loved me then and still do now, but I’m afraid I no longer love you, and telling me you love me in a letter wont change my mind.…

Coming from an economical standpoint, CSU's are statistically 58.3% cheaper than UC's in tuition alone. Secondly, California houses 23 CSU's as compared to 9 UC's. Finally, CSU's have a much higher acceptance rate when put side by side with UC's.…

On Wednesday, September 21st, the junior and senior class of my school went to Franklinton High School—where we were introduced to post-secondary institutions such as state universities and local community colleges. I admittedly already had a fair idea of what I planned on doing after school. My “carefully thought-out plan” was this: I would go to Northshore Technical Community College in the summer to get my CNA so that I can gain the patient-care experience necessary for my later plans for college. I would then attend LSU for four years and earn a bachelor’s in dietetics, and possibly minor in psychology. Afterward, I would attend a PA school somewhere within the US—possibly the one at LSU.…

Please bear with me if this is corny and you know I’ m weird with expressing feelings but here … So I guess you could get the credit for this, especially since you were “curved” at homecoming around this time last year and you constantly made your efforts to make sure I remembered who you were after that. You either walked me to class or called me “bae” and for real for real I liked it. Winter break (December 26th, 2014) is where this all started and I’m happy I finally sent that text asking you if you wanted to go to the movies.…

On a sweltering summer day in the City of Atlanta or the “ATL” as it is affectionately known today, I visited my best friend while he visited his father for the summer. That day I remember vividly because as soon as we stepped outside of the airport to take the “MARTA” train, I began to sweat profusely. Anyone that has been to Atlanta during the summer knows it is incredibly humid there. A week earlier I had seen my friend, and we planned out what we were going to do that week I visited. I knew I wanted to visit Spellman College, Morehouse College, Clark Atlanta University, and Morris Brown College, but before I could visit the Atlanta University Center or the “AUC” as it is called to the locals, I felt compelled to visit the grave site of one of the most influential human being to walk this earth.…

The experience that I would use to display all of these personal qualities would be my first semester at Miami University. I chose this experience because it has taught me to become comfortable within the uncomfortable and create an environment where I am able to adapt quickly to my surroundings. Throughout my first semester at Miami University, I’ve learned to become more independent, through most of the daily responsibilities that I hold.…
