Review, 2011). Patients, on average, have to wait a standard of about 3 weeks for a scheduled time to see a doctor; and when the individual shows up, they will need to wait even longer (Harvard Business Review, 2011). The solution to this is to focus on cutting down the wait times and setting goals to do so. I think this would be a very valuable tool because so many people utilize evaluation sites; cars, restaurants and even apartments.…

Due to the higher volume of covered patients, health care institutions are focused on quick turnover of patients, trying to see as many as possible. With 5+ patients in the waiting room to see the clinician, it proves difficult for the clinician to spend adequate time and to treat the patient with quality care. The aim of health care is to move away from this focus of volume and more toward focus on value. This means there will be more pressure and scrutiny put on clinicians and their rates of readmissions and avoidable error, Physician Assistants will be held to higher standards and…

Complimentary practices such as Obstetrics and Gynecology could share a department, which is the essence of efficiency and falls in line with the Operations Management functions, and is even more important with service oriented operations.
