The Nigerian society has experienced several repressive rules by their leaders who want them to remain silent in the face of oppression. By remaining silent, the most valued asset of the people is stolen from them.
Although Eugene’s typology of love may be misconstrued by many people who argue that Eugene is a wicked man; it is however argued that Eugene is not a bad man. Indeed, he is a good man who expresses love towards his and other children but due to his obstinacy and misconstrued values of the capitalist system, he is confused at the interpretation of these values thereby basing the values of his love on this interpretation (Oha 201).
Eugene’s misconstrued values, which symbolizes his typology of love, was developed when he was just a boy working with the missionaries. By working closely with the missionaries and admiring their faith, he developed great interest and zealotry for catholic faith. He got this religious awakening in the early part of his life as he was also dedicated to capitalism.
