Typical High School Change

Decent Essays
It may be a bit hard to adjust at first because it is so different from typical high school. However I do feel that the change will be positive for me because I love learning and challenging myself. Most high school courses are not very challenging to me at this point, and I am hoping to get into this program so I can stay challenged and learn through a more demanding and rigorous study

My high school experience at High Point High School began as frustrating then it became positive. Being academically independent, since elementary school, I did not feel that high school was going to be a major difference, but I did not take into consideration of a new ambiance with new challenges. One thing that remained the same was the fact that I was always reserved and I stayed to myself. I thought that in high school I was going to be able to leave my shell and be more outgoing. I was wrong, I am still shy and still quiet, but high school did teach me valuable concepts that I will carry on through college.…

Every school year I went through was with familiar faces. I knew things were going to change eventually; however, I naively thought nothing was going to be different until maybe high school graduation.…

With the new school year starting so does the ARP program. Although the program has only been running for one whole week i find myself remembering much of what has been covered during my time in both the ATP and ARP last year. However, regardless of the limited time spent in the program this semester the differences are blatantly obvious primarily to prior knowledge i possess when starting the semester.
