My alarm goes off on Monday morning around 6:30 AM and I usually turn it off and will sleep until about 8:00 AM. As soon as I get up, I let my dog, Bear, out the front door and go into the kitchen to get coffee. After I have poured my cup of coffee I go into the restroom and wash my face and get my straightener turned on. While my straightener is turned on, I let my dog inside, give him a biscuit or two and pull my hair in a ponytail to do my makeup. I start to put my make up on, starting with the foundation, blush, highlighter, and then my eyes. After I get my makeup done I then straighten my hair and brush my teeth. I then go get ready in my bedroom trying on approximately 3 outfits until I find the right one for the day. I then go pack my lunch, put my shoes one, give Bear one last biscuit, tell him to have a good day, close and lock my house door and leave.
I drive 25 minutes from Council Bluffs to Omaha to work for Child Protective Services. I do not have a “typical” day of work as my days are always different from paperwork to court, to visiting children. However, for this assignment, I will try to sum them all up in one. I believe that it would put the obsessives and compulsive thoughts and anxious feelings into effect more often. Having a job that does not have structure would be very difficult as it would be difficult to handle not getting a to do list done or having to stay at work or working until it is all do. It would be very difficult to develop relationships or bond with your children because you would not be able to leave work at work. I also think that because of the anxiety that the “perfection” causes it would cause sleeping problems which in turn would also affect your mood and how you interact with those in your
