Types of Communication Essay
When communicating your critical thinking about a concept, you choose how to present it to your audience. To explore this further, we will look at three ways to communicate: informative, explanatory, and persuasive statements.
A quality persuasive essay includes a mixture of informative, explanatory, and persuasive statements because to persuade someone you must:
Inform people about the topic
Explain your argument, and
Convince your audience of your point of view.

Explanatory: provide either causal information about the origin of facts/data, or provide an interpretation of what something means or symbolizes or stands for - also called interpretive.
Persuasive: provide reasons for or supporting a particular position, claim or belief. The aim here is to bring others around to your viewpoint. Can include evaluative judgements about the worth of something. Using logic and facts to lay out your argument is the most effective way to persuade people. Anticipate questions, keep returning to the key reason for supporting your cause, and be confident. When appropriate, emotional appeals are also effective.
All persuasive speeches are trying to persuade someone to believe in whatever the speaker is speaking about. Persuasive speakers, however, are all giving information on why they are right from credible sources. This is the reason why all persuasive speeches are informative.
