The brain is an amazing part of the human body that has the ability to pick up on moods, behaviours and actions it sees and learns from the environment and retain what it has learnt, and this shapes people to become who they are. These influences are called social agents and they influence the lives of everybody from a very young age up until they grow old. Some agents are more influential for some people and less so for others depending on the way they have been brought up, some of these bring out positive influences in people whilst others bring out negative influences. Some examples of agents include family, friends, culture, friends and mass media, but there are plenty more that influence people depending on the individual.These agents

My family has played a huge role in my behaviour and beliefs, as I have adopted these traits and my religion from what they have taught me. They have shown me lifes morals, and become people I can openly talk to. My family shows me respect, so I have learnt to show it back. With my father moving out at a crucial time in my life, my relationship with him has been withering slowly to the point where he has no influence over me and I have little respect for him. This is due to the fact that he does not respect me and my decisions now that I am older when he should be. This is an example of how much of an effect respect has in the family. This relationship with my father has given me a goal for when I settle down in a family, as he has shown me what not to do. The family is where people should fit in, as most it is where most will primarily learn manners and behaviours for when people decide to make a family of their own.
