Are There Non-Surgical Rejuvenation Procedures for the Neck?

5. Redraping the Skin

The skin is gently redraped over the patient’s newly uplifted contours.

6. Trimming Away the Excess Skin

Dr. G trims away the excess skin.

7. Closing the Incisions

Dr. Gershenbaum uses sutures and/or skin glue to close the incisions. The stitches he uses may dissolve on their own or patients might need to return to Dr. G Cosmetic Surgery Center in Miami several days later to have their stitches removed.

8. A Drainage Tube May Be Placed

Directly following a neck lift, a thin tube may be used to drain excess fluid and/or blood. This helps reduce the amount of swelling and bruising a patient experiences.

9. Bandages May Be Applied

Once the incisions are closed, a bandage may be placed around the patient’s neck and face. These bandages are used to minimize the incidence of bruising and swelling.
