Having type two can lead to damaging the kidney filtering system which can be caused to a kidney implant, or undergo dialysis but majorly you can damage the blood vessels in the heart, legs and feet which can even lead to a stroke. 50 % of people with diabetes die from cardiovascular disease being the leading disease globally, possibly blindness and damage to the nerves resulting loss of sensation particularly in the feet, according to endocrineweb “people with diabetes are susceptible to developing blocked arteries arteriosclerosis(thickening and hardening of the walls of the arteries) which can lead to a heart attack”. there are many ways to stop these complication …show more content…
i strongly believe that diet and exercise prevents you from type two diabetes, because even though thrifty gene says that if you carry this specific gene you are at a lower risk of developing diabetes, i believe that obesity and diabetes are caused due to Thrifty gene, because of the thrifty gene theory it stores fats and use it as fuel in times of famine which never come due to our modern day living, with constant food available. the thrifty gene theory doesn’t seem reliable enough to be compared to diet and exercise. in the book “living with diabetes & insulin, diabetes new zealand january 2005” says that exercise can help manage blood levels as exercise helps decrease insulin resistance also exercise burns glucose levels faster than doing nothing as the same for a healthier food diet, as starchy foods and sugar rise your glucose levels eating a good balanced meal will reduce your glucose levels from raising.Even tho sources say that type two diabetes can be cause because of genetic, age or family history. there are many solutions to prevent diabetes like preventing sedentary habits. Going a healthier diet plan like the diagram i included in my major points or
