It was just a regular 3 month appointment and it was right around my 2 year “diaversary”. Which is basically an anniversary for a diabetic. My doctor, Dr. Green, started to talk to me about a device called an insulin pump and when she started to describe it I got a little excited. After seeing that I was showing interest in the insulin pump, she recommended a small information class that would introduce all of the pumps on the market at that time. The pump and the supplies all wrapped up in a bundle of joy. Or also called packing peanuts and cardboard. After a few days we get this beautiful email in our inbox containing an amazing message which reads “Your Package Has Been Sent Out For Delivery.” Not more than a week later did we received another email reading “Your Package Has Been Sent Out For Delivery.” Around 2:30 I started to hear the deep rumble of a large truck. I bolt out of my room to peer out the window in my living room. From the corner of my eye I see a large brown truck slowly pass by our cul-de-sac and all I can do is jump and scream. I was possibly the happiest kid in the world at that time. I couldn’t believe that the day had finally come that I would be getting my pump. The low rumble starts up again this time turning slowly onto our street and making a resounding hiss as it came to a complete stop directly in front of our house. The man sitting in the driver's seat stands up and walks to the back of his truck to pull out a very large package with my name printed on top. The man slowly reads the package label to clarify that this was the correct house and then proceeds on walking up to our front door. Watching from our living room window I watch as he steps upon our stone porch and lifts his hand to firmly press the doorbell. *Ding!* The doorbell rings and I bolt for the door, almost tripping in
