Whether it be in a book or movie, in every story there is always a journey. A journey takes a character in a different direction than he or she was originally were going. Journeys can be physical as well as emotional. An emotional journey is exactly what the main character of the movie Remember Me goes through. In the movie Remember Me, the main character, Tyler Hawkins, goes of a personal and emotional journey. After getting into a fight with his father, Tyler and his friend from college go out drinking. They end up getting caught up trying to stop a fight. Tyler ends up getting arrested and his friend has to call Tyler's father to bail him out of jail. Later on Tyler finds out that the man who arrested him has a daughter in one of his

She convinces Tyler that he needs to fix his relationship with his father, so he starts to make an effort to become better friends with the father he believes has neglected him and his sister for so long (Remember Me). This is a large step in a new direction in Tyler's emotional journey when considering the grudge that he has held against his father for such a long time. It would be hard for his character to let his guard down with his father when he did not trust him.
As a result of Tyler trying to make amends with his father, he ends up waiting for him at his office one day. While waiting, he sees pictures of his sister and him on his father's computer. This is the moment he realizes he may have been too hard on his father all those years he thought he did not love and care of them. This marks the end of Tyler Hawkins emotional journey because the day he finial has the love of his life and forgives his father happens to be the day the Twin Towers fell (Remember Me).
