Who is to blame? There are many people in this story who has something to do with the hatred between the montagues and the capulets. In my opinion the person who i think keeps the hatred going is a person who goes by the name is Tybalt. Tybalt is capulet, and enemy of the montagues. This is why i think he's to blame. Tybalt is a capulet therefore he hates montagues. Tybalt is the kind a person who is mean, rude, and mocks the montagues. He makes fun of the montagues and tells them why he hates them. Tybalt is a person that the capulets send when they have a problem involving the montagues . Tybalt loves to fight with swords in other words fence. His favorite people to fight with is of course the montagues. Back then fencing was the …show more content…
Tybalt would even sometimes kill montagues, depends on what the situation was. And i think that's what starts the hatred all over again. Another person in the story named mercutio was another reason why the hatred keeps going. One day tybalt came to the montagues side to look for Romeo. Mercutio is romeo's friend, so tybalt told mercutio where is romeo and mercutio refuse to tell him. So tybalt told mercutio will you draw, in other words fight or fence. Mercutio said yes, so there were fighting but mercutio didn't take it serious so he was killed by tybalt. Later romeo found out that tybalt had killed mercutio. Romeo went after tybalt and then battled him for revenge of mercutio. Romeo killed tybalt in battle, which is a bad thing because it will just start more problems between the capulets and the montagues. If tybalt didn't kill mercutio then romeo would have gone and killed tybalt. For tybalt's death the king has banished romeo from town and couldn't be with juliet. So juliet was forced to marry paris when she didn't want to. So it made her go to friar lawrence to ask for

I think Romeo and Juliet should have gotten secretly married because it would cause chaos if their families found out. Romeo's and Juliet's families hate each other, so it would make Tybalt want to kill Romeo even more if he were to find out that a Montague married a Capulet. On the first prologue, lines 5-8, it states that " From forth the fatal loins of these two foes, A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life, Whose misadventured piteous overthrows doth with their death bury their parents' strife." Romeo's and Juliet's families hate each other for no reason, Just because of their last names. If Romeo and Juliet were not to marry secretly, the rage between the families would grow.…

Critics have a valid point about Tybalt, however Tybalt just wants to defend his family’s reputation and his own. He could very well be a symbol of how strong and young the Capulets are. Tybalt could also be described as loyal to the Capulets and their household rules unlike Juliet. The long-lasting feud impacts Tybalt, because the hatred that he feels towards Romeo and the Montagues is natural and necessarily not his fault because it’s been going on so long it’s like a tradition and his decisions are influenced by other people. If…

While the tensions between the Montagues and the Capulets grew, Mercutio came to know some of the members of the Capulet family, one of these people was Tybalt, the man who revived the family feud out of nowhere for seemingly no defining reason. Seeing past the annoyance of Tybalt’s immaturity, Mercutio had no initial quarrel with him, he seemed peaceful enough for his liking, so he typically left him alone. Over time, Tybalt became more and more of a nuisance, he began to antagonize and taunt the Montagues and intentionally tried to pick fights with them. Participating in many of these rage induced fights, Mercutio found himself in conundrum with his father who gave him an ultimatum to either stop hanging out with the Montagues, or find some way to end these fights. To preserve one of his few friendships, he decided to find some way to stop this unfounded skirmish.…
