Two Things That Impact Flash Photography

Decent Essays
Up until this point, there have been two things that impact flash photography and that is this assertion that only the f-number and the ISO matter. The reason that the shutter speed isn’t taken into account is because when a flash goes off, it gives off its light very quickly. No matter how fast your shutter speed is, it will not be faster than that initial burst of light from the flash. And if your shutter is open longer, your flash won’t give off any extra light either. However, there is a shutter speed that you need to use and it is specific to your camera. This is called the x-sync speed. X-sync speed is defined by the shutter itself. When we were

To explain Jim's inaccurate vivid flashbulb memory of him remembering a day when his parents won the lottery and recalling all the events and things that went on in that day exactly as he believes they did. A simple and logical explanation that psychologists would come out with in answering this question would be that Jim has gathered all these false memories from events he has gone throughout his life. Perhaps just a month before he recalled his memory he had played the board games with his siblings and over the time of a month his mind assigned that experience with his memory of when his parents won the lottery. This assignment of the brain combining memories with others is because flashbulb memories change over time. Jim had an episode Source…

There are many theories for how life started on earth. After reading many theories, I found the Lighting and Panspermia theory the most interesting. These two theories made the most sense to me even though they don’t have much in common. The Lighting theory is the idea of chemicals from earth’s early atmosphere working together with chemicals and lighting from erupting volcanoes in order to create the first life on earth. The second theory is the Panspermia theory, the idea that earth’s first life dame from outer space.…

The term photoluminescence by definition can be refered to as a molecule or atom which absorbs electromagnetic energy and in turn, emits light. In quantum mechanics, it is where excitation to a higher energy state occurs, which then returns to a lower energy state, together with the emission of a photon. According to Seitz (2006) found in the Credo referencing database, “Photoluminescence excitation spectra are determined by measuring emission intensity at a fixed wavelength while varying the wavelength of the incident light used to produce the electronically excited species responsible for emission. The excitation spectrum is a measure of the efficiency of electronic excitation as a function of excitation wavelength. Photoluminescence emission…
