Minutes passed, as I accidentally slipped and hit my head on a tree. Waking up I was next to Autumn who was also unconscious, but in my memory, I never witnessed Autumn being unconscious. The situation had confused me, as I would also be suspicious of something being hidden in the forest messing with us. Just then Autumn would wake up and she could not recall what had happened when I was unconscious. “Ow, my head really hurts,” murmured Autumn still not fully conscious.

Observing the area we were in we were lying on a huge circular stone platform and there were no ways out except for a couple of long stone stairs appearing in front of us. Since there was no way out we had no choice, but to walk up the stairs. Arriving on top of the stone stairs there was another circular

I mean when do we get to see a floating door in our life,”. Slowly turning around to escape the unusual, a seemingly dangerous floating door that we were shocked by we would encounter a girl behind us twice our size wearing a huge black hoodie that had just covered her eyes and nose, she would be on a black floating cloud cuddling up to the small amount of space. “You shall unlock the curse held for over 5,000 years,” she says abruptly in a dark toned voice. “What curse?” I ask courageously holding Autumn’s arms. “You’ll know, your necklace says everything and you’ll need this,” she replies handing us a dusty old book burnt on one side missing half the book, as I look at my necklace and the pendant suddenly glows. “What do we need to do? I’m not cursed, but she is?” Autumn asks worried. “You’re her guardian angel. To break the curse you are to enter the door,” she replies, “But first you need to know about your pendant on your necklace,” “What is it?” I ask interested in her words. “You’re pendant lies great power inside only the chosen one could use. I assume you know your mother had given this to you and told you about your twin sister,” she says, as I would not have known the

So it started out as a normal school day and as we were coming back from lunch we all went to the restroom and only six of us got taken. As we were using the restroom Andrew Myers, Jahzara Mckinney, Kadance Gravely, Maddox Lyons, Hayden Elliott, Kaylie Hawks and myself were pulled into the sewers and through a pipe that somehow took us to a island. We were stranded there by ourselves the island was like a forest in a way it has tall redwood trees high grass like the jungle and a beautiful glossering pond. From my last 3 years of running cross county I have learned a lot of things. One is that you should never give up, second is that if you work hard enough then you can achieve whatever you put your mind to, and third is how you can go from disliking something to loving something. How I've learned these things from cross county is when I first started cross country, my sophomore year I couldn't run to save my life. Coach would always time us on how fast we could run two miles and I would always be last and be so far behind everyone else which was quite embarrassing but I couldn't help it I had just started and I'd never ran before in my life, at my very first meet I couldn't even run the first mile and I ended up having to drop out. After that I didn't like cross county at all because I wasn't good at it…
