Henry Lee Lucas and Ottis Toole were 2 serial killers that met on 1976 in a soup kitchen. They soon started a sexual relationship. Together they started a serial killer behavior. The story of what happened after that is unclear, but it is believed that they were responsible for over 200 murders. Exactly how many people they killed is unknown. One of their most used methods to kill was arson. It was reported that they also enjoyed cannibalism. In 1983, Toole was sentenced to 20 years of prison for arson. Two months later Lucas was arrested for possessing a deadly weapon. In prison, they began to confess a lot of their crimes helping the police to solve 213 unsolved cases.
Henry Lee Lucas’s Childhood He was born on August 23, 1936, in Blacksburg, Virginia. His parents behavior never influenced him for a good life because both, mom and dad, were abusive and would spend most of their time drinking alcohol. He had “revenge” running him over and of course killing him. After his mother’s death in 1981 he reportedly claimed nine more victims in 6 states in over a one year period. In 1984 he was convicted for setting a fire that left a 64 year old man dead and was sentenced to death for it. A month later he was accused of a murder of a 19 year old girl, Ada Johnson. In 1991 he pled guilty to four more murders in Florida. Once incarcerated, Toole followed Lucas’s plan of confessing and admitted to have helped him with 108 murders more. This numbers were never confirmed and to today the amount of killings they committed is still unknown. It wasn’t till December 2008 that the police confirmed that Toole was responsible for the death of Adam Walsh. Ottis Toole died in prison of liver failure in September
