“Well, here we are,” he said at last.

The place was scary, you could see the cobwebs, and the mold growing inside this tent that was suppose to be their “home”. Yuki thought to herself, what did she do to deserve this. She didn’t hurt anyone, she was sweet, and most of all caring.

Later on, Yuki and her family found out that they weren’t the only ones that were going to be living in that little house, 2 other families would be joining them. How could 3 people fit in one bed? Yuki could smell gasoline, she knew this place wasn’t safe. You were caged in with barb wire, so there was no escape… literally.

Time passed and it was now time to go to bed, the other two families must have done this before, because unlike us they had no issue with being smothered together in a small bed, sharing one pillow an done blanket. Ken was young, their parents

Yuki just got out of the chamber would you like her to spend a lifetime in there?” Mother blurted.

“Would you rather live here for the rest of your life?” Grandma bellowed.

Mother and Grandma tried coming up with a plan, but there were too many distractions, and impossible to get out. What they did know was, everyone had to stay together so if they did have a plan they could jet.

That’s when they noticed, a friend of theirs was going to be hung for not following regulations, and the commander left the gate open. Everyone followed Grandma, she seemed to know the most. They had to be careful, every small step could get them into trouble. Every step that Ken took was louder than it should’ve been. They were very close to this gate. This gate was like freedom to them, they would no longer be treated horribly and they would be able to have the life they deserved.

“Creek!” The gate makes a loud screech, the commander doesn’t notice he thinks it was the wind blowing the gate.

“EVERYONE! NO MISTAKES IF YOU WANT TO GET OUT OF HERE YOU MUST FOLLOW EVERYTHING I DO!” Grandma

“A Good Man is Hard to Find” by Flannery O’Connor has been one of the most interesting stories I have ever come across. The story revolves around a family who decide to go on a vacation to Florida, toting along their grandmother. Along the way, the family encounters ‘The Misfit,’ a runaway criminal. O’Connor writes the characters of the grandmother and The Misfit, who at first glance seem so different from each other, yet throughout the short story, share underlying similarities. The grandmother and The Misfit possess two different views on how they think of themselves.…

My eyes quickly sprang open to the piercing sound of my inner com making a very scratchy yet high pitched noise, that I had never heard it make before. Almost like someone was screaming,or maybe something. In the background of that horrible noise it almost sounded as if someone was in the shower, I sleepily began to step down from my bed and saw that my sister was lying in her bed asleep. Slurring my words I yelled and asked "Savannah! Do you hear that?"…

Grandma’s advice: My thoughts on “grandma’s advice” is that it should not automatically be dismissed as it does have some basis of experience and what was known in society during their generation. Although, overtime information does seem to change, but no matter the change, sometimes good old fashioned cultural remedies can do just fine. Research: Why is it important to utilize developmental theory to explain children's development?…

With what little wisdom and perspective I have at twenty-one years of age, one thing about which I am certain is the harshness and deep-felt pain of the hole left behind when a loved one dies. If I know nothing else to be true, it is the ache and sometimes-unbearable sadness my family and I are experiencing at the loss of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. But just as much as that sorrow is real, so, too, is the welcome relief of laughter and love we exchange as we remember the wonderful, funny life of our very dear Patty. It is only with fond remembrance and a good laugh that we are able to keep our heads when dealing with the grief of losing my Grandma, and she has given us an abundance of anecdotes and stories with which we can chuckle and attempt to patch the huge hole that settled in our hearts.…
