Perry Smith was a murderer, who along with his partner, Richard Hickock, killed a family of four in Holcomb, Kansas in 1959. This brutal crime is portrayed in a book called “In Cold Blood” by Truman Capote. This book is non-fiction and conveys the lives of these two criminals before, during and after the murder, up until their death sentence in 1965. Capote traveled to the small town of Holcomb to interview and investigate in order to write the most accurate version of the story that he could.
