Two Components Of Power In Football

Position: CDM (Centre Defensive Midfielder)
Strength 1 = Power
Within my chosen activity of football I believe that power is one of my biggest strengths. Power is the ability to exert maximum muscular contraction instantly in an explosion burst movements or in the least amount of time possible. The two components of power are strength and speed. E.G. jumping for a header, sprinting to the ball. Power is needed to jumping for header because you need power for your take-off into the air and then the power to head the ball and power is needed for sprinting to the ball because of the start of the sprint you need explosion to get a better start.

Strength 2 = Passing
Within my chosen activity of football I have decided to highlight my passing as one of my strengths. Passing is the skill of legally passing the ball to one of my teammates successfully.

Passing is also one of the main attributes a CDM has to have as they are in the midfield but playing defensive so I don’t need much skill as I won’t be going up for attacks instead I will be sitting back waiting for the ball to come to me and then I need to pass it so I need to have accurate passing as
