Although the book and movie, were very similar the recreation has many limitations that the novel doesn’t. With the characters, narration, and plot it is proven the novel was better than the film. Because the film had limited time to tell each interaction with all the characters, it left out extremely important characters such as Aunt Alexandra and Miss. Maudie. The book just starts off as the man talking over the phone then the flash back happens to show the past and even that has events scattered (jumbled) around where the book had events a, b and c but the movie has b, c, a and e. The movie skips event d because in the book it talks of Baba’s leg and how it is twisted, making it so the man cannot walk right.…

The most significant of these differences was that the movie showed many scenes from other points of views that were told in the third person while in the novel, it was all from Katniss's point of view and only showed what Katniss experienced. For example, in the movie, there were several scenes of President Snow, the leader of the Panem and Seneca, the Gamemaster. These scenes depicted them talking about Katniss and her actions and allowed you to understand what happened to make the hunger games possible and the darker truth of the dystopian city.
