Twenty-One Pilots: A Concert Analysis

Twenty-One Pilots is a rap and alternative band who recently broke out with a big album called “Blurryface”. Their style of music is so unlike any other group that they were put in the genre of alternative because even though its rap, it is not just the average rap. Some songs are slower, and they don’t always rhyme. This makes them unique causing them to stand out among other groups. Their songs have a deeper meaning than most and more people can relate to them and that is why this album had such a big impact and lead them to a world tour. The band has two members, a singer and a drummer who have been best friends since childhood. I’ve been a fan of the band since their first album in 2013, but they never toured in any of the cities near me, so when I found out that they were coming to Houston, I know I had to check it out. This particular concert was in downtown Houston on a Friday night so I grabbed my friends and we hit the road right after school and …show more content…
The ticket prices will differ depending on how close you want to be to the stage. There are seating areas on the balcony above, but those would be the ones further way, and you wouldn’t be able to get the full experience of the concert as you would on the floor. Of course balcony seats will be the ones that are less expensive, and less crowded. The other option is the floor seating, which is ironic because there are no actual seats. The floor area is basically a mosh pit of people all wanting the same thing, to get as close as possible. The only way to achieve such a goal is to push your way to the front. These “seats” are the most expensive ranging from one hundred to three hundred dollars depending on where you buy your tickets and the availability of spots

Twenty One Pilots’ album Blurryface captures the emotions and feelings almost everyone experiences, but is too afraid to express. With its multi-genre track list, Blurryface could not be identified as one genre due to the complexity of the melodies, off putting beat changes, and depressing lyrics. The album should have failed in the beast that is mainstream music. However, bandmates Tyler Joseph and Joshua Dun of Twenty One Pilots managed to take their polarizing sound and turn it into a thrilling success. Long before their debut into the music scene, the band duo from Columbus, Ohio, Twenty One Pilots started making their rounds playing small bars and clubs trying to create a fan base that would support what they do.…

Twenty One Pilots originated in Columbus, Ohio, in 2009. The band was formed by, and consists of, two college friends, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun. Joseph is the lead singer in the group and is the band’s rapper, while Dunn is the drummer in the band. Joseph came up with the band’s name while studying the play, “All My Sons” by Arthur Miller. The play was about a man who, after selling faulty airplane parts from his family business to 21 pilots, faces the moral dilemma of whether to admit doing so after the pilots’ planes crash.…

I chose Nickelback for the presentation because they were the best at describing what I was talking about. Nickelback is that one band that when you listen, you can instantly feel a connection with to them and what they are saying. I speak from experience because I have been listening to them ever sense I was 5 or 6. I knew that when I changed my topic that I wasn’t going to do well.…

Stress causes havoc on my soul, whether I am able to control it or not. There are different ways I relieve stress, such as speaking to someone, listening to music, exercising and etc. I discovered “Stressed Out” by Twenty One Pilots, when I was patiently waiting for the red light to turn green and it began playing in the background of my sister and I’s conversation. The song impacts me greatly because stress, enjoys to strategically weed its way into my daily life. This song made me realize that even if I cannot return back to the younger years that I am still able to count on the people that stand by and motivate me, my parents.…
