Someone once said, “The couples that are meant to be, are the ones who go through everything that is meant to tear them apart and come out even stronger,”(pintrest) I think this quote relates to the play because in the end only the strongest love lasts. “The twelfth night,” is a play written by, William Shakespeare. Throughout the play it talked about all different types of love and the way different characters feel towards others.In the play everyone experiences different types of love some stronger than others. There are many different types of love shown in the play Twelfth Night such as, romantic love, love at first sight and forbidden love.

Viola and duke orsino are also in love with each other, from the second viola saw orsino she wanted to marry him and now orsino loves her as well. In the text orsino asks viola for her hand in marriage,”give me thy hand, and let me see thee in women’s weeds. (5.1 267-268)” In the play he also says, “here is my hand. You shall from this time be your master’s mistress.” Orsino has asked viola to marry him since he now feels the same way about her. Viola served orsino for months and did everything for him, she loved him the whole time but could never tell him. When she finally did tell him, he felt the same way about her and now they are getting married. The third couple to be in love in maria and sir.toby, they were always good friends throughout the play and when they found out one another loved them, they figured out all the feelings were mutual. In the play sir.toby always hints about loving her and says very sweet things. For example, he says, “(singing) farewell dear heart, since i must needs be gone.” He is singing goodbye to his loved
