Tweety Bird We are gathered here today to talk about the magnificent, influential Tweety Bird. Tweety Bird (AKA Sweetie Pie) was the cutest little yellow canary there ever was. He was always singing his little song and didn’t have a mean bone in his body except when he was dealing with his stalker, Sylvester the Cat. However the beloved Tweety Bird always found ways to outsmart ‘dat ol’ putty tat’ until that fateful night when instead of coughing up furballs, Sylvester was coughing up feathers. BUT...Tweety Bird wouldn’t want us to be sad, he would want us to be happy and remember all of the adventures that he had taken part in the past. He lived a long life, from 1942 to 2017 and he was still agile until the end. Tweety was an important part in …show more content…
One time, Tweety Bird was being chased by Sylvester and he flew off of a cliff. Sylvester nearly caught up to him until he remembered that cats cannot fly. Many battles between Sylvester and Tweety Bird end in this fashion and it just goes to prove that Tweety Bird did not use just cute looks, he used his brain as well. The skirmishes between Sylvester and Tweety Bird inspired so many people to stand up to their own bullies, that the Warner Bro’s created While E. Coyote and Roadrunner. I think that the great determination that tweety Bird showed when he took on Sylvester was what inspired these battles between Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner. Tweety Bird has inspired the world around him many times and he will continue to inspire the world even though he is only here in our hearts. Tweety Bird will not be remembered as an adorable little birdy. He will be remembered as THE adorable little birdy that stood up to giant, hungry, stubborn cats. Tweety Bird lives in our hearts as well as many others including Porky The Pig, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Granny. We will not be sad. We will not fret. But we will rejoice when we think about all of the animals and people that our beloved Tweety Bird had influenced

Sunrise Over Fallujah In the novel Sunrise Over Fallujah, a man named Robin, also known as Birdy, narrated. I think if the author, Walter Dean Myers, chose a different narrator, the whole book would be told differently. For example, if Jonesy tells the story he would talk more about the Blue’s rather than why he joined the army and how he felt about his family and friends like Birdy did. Some connections I made was how they were in Iraq about a war to get the U.S. weapons back and to change their type of government.…

It is easy to pinpoint American stereotypes of the 1950s and 1960s. Rock n’roll, big hair and skirts, and the clean-cut American family were typical, and rock superstars populated the airwaves. One of the early pioneers of American rock n’roll was Elvis Presley, a young, innovative crooner whose hip-thrusts jumpstarted an industry. This new industry so popular that it became the basis of a new American musical, Bye Bye Birdie, written by Michael Stewart with lyrics by Lee Adams and music by Charles Strouse.…
