A successful business executive resigns from his prestigious corporate job to become a voice announcer risking his home, his family, and financial security.

BRIEF SYNOPSIS:

STEVE COLLINS (late 30's) has the security of his loving wife, BETSY, his three children, and a prestigious executive job working for his father-in-law, DARREN HIGHTOWER (60’s). He teaches others how to sell and close deals. He’s an expert at reading body language. Darren is ready to make him a partner. However, Steve’s not happy. Having a gift for public speaking, Steve has always dreamed of becoming an announcer.

Steve revisits his dream when he meets ALAN KALTER, a famous TV announcer. Alan recognizes Steve's talent and tells him he should do announcing for a living.

It will mean making some family sacrifices. Steve quits his job. He applies for the position of Grand Master at the circus, but is immediately turned down. He has no experience.
Steve contacts DANNY ELLISON, a short man, who runs CLOWNS AROUND TOWN. Danny believes he can get Steve some public speaking jobs.

Although, Steve substitutes as an announcer for the Church bingo game and at a Temple, his personal bills continue to pile up. The house payments are past due.

Steve makes his debut at the Auction House, but things go horribly wrong when he begins coughing during the auction. Suddenly he loses his voice and he can't talk. The doctor diagnoses Steve with having a swollen larynx, but it shouldn’t impede Steve’s speech. He wonders if Steve has psychological issues. Steve eventually gets his voice back. Danny books Steve a job at the Oklahoma Road Show, but when the fair grounds are set on fire, his job goes up in smoke. He's desperate to find a new engagement.

Darren goes behind Steve's back and encourages the manager of the bank not to extend Steve's credit and to foreclose on their house. Betsy discovers she's pregnant. They lose the family home. Betsy and the kids go to live with her father and Steve moves into his own small
