I hope you are doing well. I have completed all the flyers, received the approvals and have been posted them all around campus up till this date. I have also done tabling with Mrs. Branch at the student center, library and cafeteria. I have inquired with each staff member, Mrs. Branch, Ms. Jones, and Ms. Reynolds to see if they had anything they wanted me to do. Mrs. Branch has to make a help her a card assignment and Ms. Reynolds has asked to make a tutoring flyer. Is there a project or anything you would like me to work

In this case the decision points are continuing the contract of consulting with the external firm TeachBest Consulting or start an in-house process. When contracting the external firm the Academy is faced with an annual contract fee depending on how many students and faculty members we have and has a 5% of error in the reviews done annually to the faculty members. At the present time we have a 75% chance of an increment in the students that will register and in consequence the annual fee that will have to be paid to the external consultants will double. Also we will be hiring new faculty members which will also represent another increment in the total cost of the service.…

When observing a special education classroom I am not only observing the class, but I am observing a glimpse into my future as a teacher. I was privileged enough to observe a multi-needs intermediate classroom with students who range from eight to ten year olds at Hope D. Wall School who have moderate to server learning disorders and physical handicaps. The purpose of the multi-need classroom is for the teacher to assess which path the student will take after the year is over. For an example some students might need more intensive guidance during their education, while other students attend life skills classes in order to prepare for life outside of school. While I was observing the class, I was fortunate enough to witness the students participate…

As I get off the bus from the long day of school, I head on over to the building ahead of me to now start with the next task in my day, tutoring. The school year had just begun a short while ago and I had to juggle the responsibilities of a new job and school work for the first time. Walking into the school, I saw the familiar faces of kids I worked with before when I previously volunteered on my free time. Once I settled into a classroom to start, students came in with their books and started to work away at their homework. All but one of the faces seemed familiar, so I checked to see who the new student was.…

The setting of my 2nd focus child was a Little Bucs in the preschool room (Inventors) in the classroom, but we did visit the ETSU library during my first observation. They are 48 months-60 months. I observed a 48 month old, male. I will refer to the student I observed as "P." I observed from 10:00-11:30 both sessions. The classroom was reasonably big, but the floor was opened with toys and an upstairs area where the students can go and hang up there.…

Hi Dr. Hudzik, I hope you’re doing well. I just wanted to touch base with you about a few things. I know I discussed with you at the beginning of the semester some issues i was having, however, more things have came up since then and I feel as if it would be easier for me to inform you about them via email. I’ve been struggling a lot with my mental health this semester and things tend to be getting worse rather than better. I thought attending class would help take my mind off things to begin with, but some days it’s just really hard for me to make it.…

I believe that direct instruction can be very beneficial to all students in the classroom, but especially for students with intellectual disabilities. Students with low incidence disabilities already have low self-esteem due to them realizing that they learn differently from their peers. When you implement the first step in Direct Instruction, you’re learning your student. You are trying to figure what motives them, what are their strengths and weaknesses, and what background knowledge do you need to know about the student in order to better to prepare for lessons. This will allow the student with disabilities to feel more comfortable and motive to learn in the classroom.…
