Tutankhamun was born in 1346 BC. It is believed that Tut had a good beginning of his childhood, where he likely spent his time hunting, swimming, studying and playing board games. Due to the many walking canes discovered in his tomb many years after his time, people think that Tut must have been an ill, weak child. When Tutankhamun’s father, Akhenaten, passed away in 1334 BC, 7 year-old Tut had to step up and take his father’s place as pharaoh. He ruled over Ancient Egypt, a country located in North Africa, on the Mediterranean Sea. The climate was very hot and humid and there were sandy deserts everywhere.
