Most Significant Turning Points In My Life

The five most significant turning points in my life were when I graduated valedictorian of my class, when I received my first scholarship, when I visited The University of Texas at Austin, when I went on my post-graduation vacation to Galveston, Texas, and when I became a part of The McLennan Community Honors College. These turning points while being immensely different from one another still connect to a key theme in my life of what I find to be the most worthwhile, my education, my desire to accomplish anything that I set my mind to, and my love to explore new things.

After applying for and receiving that first scholarship I was confounded with a new purpose to do as many scholarships as I could because doing these scholarship applications was not as hard as it initially seemed. From that day on, every day during my college prep class I would work on numerous scholarship applications and essays. Towards the end of the year everyone and my older sister were amazed by the large amount of scholarships awarded to me that I had amassed.
The third most significant turning point in my life was when one of my high school teachers arranged for my class to visit The University of Texas Austin (UT). Before visiting the university for the first time I had previously known that I wanted to go to UT because it has the top ranked business school in Texas. However, after I took an extensive tour of the university I fell in love with the campus, the students, and everything else UT had to offer. Visiting UT made my initial decision of attending this university concrete, no other university could longer compare to UT, it became my dream
