Turner Field Descriptive Essay

The ride to Atlanta is never boring with the sound of horns honking, tires screeching, people yelling. Seeing the towering buildings over me, surrounding me from every corner, like being trapped behind oversized prison bars. But as soon as I see Turner Field in the distance, I know I am in for a real treat. Attending a baseball game at Turner Field in Atlanta, Georgia, is something I believe people must experience at some point in their lifetime. Watching the Braves play on the television is a daily ritual for my family, but nothing compares to seeing the 2-D version of the players and stadium coming to life right before my eyes when I visit Turner Field. The moment the player’s bat connects with the baseball, a loud crack splits the air like thunder ripping through the sky, the ball traveling at the speed of light as it soars through the air, seeming to come straight towards me. The outfielder makes a diving catch, the pop of his glove echoing throughout the arena. Once again, the war chant electrifies through the arena after this amazing catch. The game is coming to an end, but no one is anxious to leave the marvelous stadium, where they feel at home in a way. Attending a Braves game makes one feel as if they are surrounded by 50,000 friends. When the last pitch is thrown and the last out is made, cheers roar throughout the stadium, hands are slapped together with high-fives, and every person is buzzing with excitement from a Braves win. As my family and I try to make our way out of Turner Field, it is like a shoving match is taking place. But, it is all worth it when the Braves win the game, and good times were
