To have friendship the client must take the initiative to express one’s self to other children. Once the client takes the initiative – The client must then develop relationship qualities, in which, it will play a huge factor on maintaining a friendship. It is recommended that the client learns how to take turns with other children. Turn taking is a good and helpful quality that will support the client’s response, increase the interaction between the other children, and will improve the client’s social skills all around (Noonan & McCormick, 2014, p. 285.)
